What Sympose can work on
The kinds of musical and production work Sympose can inspect and change in your project, and what stays in your hands.
Sympose draws on its built-in musical knowledge and on what it can see and change in your project. There is nothing to install or switch on, and no list of add-on skills to choose from. This page lists what it can work on and where its limits are.
What Sympose can change
- Notes and clips: write or rewrite MIDI clips, transpose, quantize, humanize, and copy or delete a range of a clip.
- Arrangement: create, resize, rename, duplicate, split, and delete clips, and trim, fade, crossfade, adjust gain on, or peak-normalize audio clips.
- Tracks and project settings: create, rename, reorder, duplicate, and delete tracks, set levels, and update tempo, key, scale, time signature, quantization, loop, and master level.
- Sound design: assign instruments and presets, edit sampler, drum, and synth settings, and save your own synth presets. Where generated sound is available, Sympose can generate a synth one-shot, or a sample or loop on an audio track. See Generated audio.
- Effects, mixing, and automation: add, remove, reorder, bypass, and adjust effects, and create and edit automation lanes.
- Playback: start, stop, seek, loop, and toggle the metronome or count-in as part of a task.
What Sympose can look at
Before it changes anything, Sympose can inspect the project, tracks, clips, devices, effect chains, automation, transport state, imported assets, and export readiness. It can also run a local measurement of peak, true peak, RMS, loudness, and related figures for a clip, a track, or the mix. This is a numeric analysis of the signal. Sympose does not listen to the music.
What stays in your hands
Sympose cannot:
- Import audio, start a recording, or choose an export destination for you. It can ask, and the request waits as a card in the chat until you act.
- Delete tracks or rewrite clips for a time signature change without your confirmation.
- Open arbitrary files or control your computer outside the project.
- Judge how the result sounds. You decide whether it works.
Every change is reviewable and can be undone from the Changes tab. See Review and revise agent work, and Finish and export for handing off a finished mix.
